Decorado is an animated fable about social control and the absurdity of a life that seems to have been written by someone else. An existential comedy that questions what lies behind the curtain.

Decorado is an animated feature that blends satire, surrealism, and dark humor to immerse us in a disturbing and absurd reality. Its protagonist, an apparently ordinary citizen, begins to suspect that everything around him — his job, his partner, his city — is part of a giant hoax.

With a distinctive visual style and a sharp take on the human condition, Alberto Vázquez (Psiconautas, Unicorn Wars) delivers a dark and hypnotic fable about social control, the artifice of life, and the fragility of our certainties.

A film as provocative as it is beautiful, poised to become one of the most acclaimed animated features of the year.

SYNOPSIS

Arnold is a middle-aged mouse caught in an existential crisis. His marriage is falling apart, his life feels meaningless, and he begins to suspect that everything around him is a grand illusion. When his best friend dies under suspicious circumstances, Arnold becomes convinced that something is not right. What begins as a creeping paranoia turns into a desperate flight toward something that might, just might, resemble freedom.
